'T.Z.A.S.P. Mandal, Dombivli has established Pragati College of Arts & Commerce mainly for educating first learners of the society. The Mandal also aims to prepare students, as good citizen with a Bachelor degree, having highest rate of employability. The college believes in moulding students in such a way that they will be front runners in this competitive age. Along with B.A. and B.Com degrees, the college has started courses like B.Com (Banking and Insurance), Bachelor of Management Studies and B.Sc (Information Technology). The college will also start courses like B.Sc (Computer Science) and a degree course in Hospitality Management in near future. We are also in process of starting various Certificate Courses, Diploma Courses and Advanced Diploma Courses as add-on courses. These courses along with degrees will enhance employability of students of Pragati College. Proficiency in English is highly needed in the present age. We are therefore training our students in spoken English free of cost so that they can compete with their counterparts in the Metro Cities. Event Management is one of the highly sought after courses today. We have therefore framed our own courses of Event Management.

Our slogan is born to lead. Calendar of events is displayed well in advance i.e. in the summer vacation before beginning of the academic year. Our students and teachers take lead in organising various events at various occations throughout the year. Academic calendar and calendar of examinations are the integral parts of our academic activity. Advanced planning definately helps to achieve excellent results.
