Dr VN Bedekar Institute of Management Studies BRIMS was set-up as a pioneer management college in Thane in the academic year 2005-2006 and today it ranks as one of the best colleges in Mumbai.

The institute was setup with a vision to make the Thane city the hub of management education par excellence. DR VN BRIMS is approved by AICTE and follows a quality policy in terms of delivering quality education which is why the institute is a ISO: 9001:2015 certified.

Dr VN Bedekar had a dream of making Thane a hub of management education par excellence. In order to provide quality management education he established Department of Management Studies on 3rd July 1973.
