Nagar Yuwak Shikshan Sanstha, under the Chairmanship of Hon'ble Shri Dattaji Meghe, Member of Parliament, established the NYSS Institute of Management & Research in 1994 (which is recognized as “Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies since 2009). The Institute offers the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and permanently affiliated to Nagpur University. It is the only Management institute in the region to be accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. It is designed to grow as a centre of excellence in management and technical education in this part of the country. It strives to provide the best educational aids and maintain a creative atmosphere.

Recently DMIMS has bagged so many awards of national and international repute like Asia’s Best business school awards Ay CMO Asia, Top 100 b-school by dalal street in 2009, Dainik Baskar has ranked 38th to DMIMS among the top 50 B-Schools in India .

The institute has a flexible and innovative approach towards the teaching-learning process with emphasis on practical aspects and 'beyond-the-syllabus' areas of knowledge. Training and Placement activity is a prime area for us and we are one of the few Management Institutes in the region to have an independent Training and Placement Department with a full-time Officer and two faculty members dedicated for it.

Value-addition is another area on which the institute lays great stress. We offer foreign language training in German and French in addition to English.. A daily slot has been earmarked in the time-table for corporate skills development. To enhance the students' knowledge-base, we take them into the fantastic world of books through an exclusive 'Library Hour' each day.
