Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Nagpur is run by MKSSS and funded by Cummins India Foundation which is USA based Company.
Cummins college has been identified as one of the best up-coming colleges of RTM Nagpur University. The college prepares women engineers in the field of Electronics & Telecommunications, Computer engineering and is the only women’s college in Vidarbha having Mechanical engineering branch. The college is well-known for its strong academics and excellent results & placements. Qualified and experienced faculties, well designed academic calendar, test & assignment schedule, 100% syllabus coverage, Extra classes for weak students, TG scheme for periodically counseling of students makes the college to stand different from other colleges in RTMNU.
The training and Placement Cell of college prepares students for Aptitude, personal Interview and GD. The training and Placement cell also takes care of summer internships, industrial visits and interaction sessions with industry persons etc. The college is having in-campus well furnish hostel with all the modern amenities like mess, gym, reading room, TV room, RO, lawn, wi-fi, cooking arrangement, Tiffin arrangement & menu management. Mechanical Engineering Lab comprising of Workshop Lab, Computer Aided Engineering Lab, Mechanical Measurements & Meteorology Lab, Material Testing Lab, Machine Shop Lab, Fluid Machinery Lab , Foundry & Forging Lab , Energy Conversion Lab, Heat & Mass transfer lab, Design Lab, Finite Element & Analysis, Computer Aided Machine Drawing, CIM & Automation Lab. These labs have state-of-the art equipments and modern facilities to enable the students for easy understanding of the experiments. Practical training is given to the students on fitting, welding, material testing facilities using various machines, different operations carried out on major machines used in industry. The computer aided design and drawing labs have adequate computers for all the students to practice. Modeling and analysis of various engineering components is taught to the students using advanced software packages which are currently used in industry. In the CIM and Automation Lab students are taught computer integrated manufacturing software packages which have wide application in automation industry. Assembly drawings of various machine parts are taught in computer aided machine drawing lab. |

* Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s Cummins College of Engineering For Women, Nagpur is approved by AICTE and affiliated to ‘Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University'.
* College follows admission rules laid down by ‘Director of Technical Education’, Maharashtra state.
* Details of centralized admission procedure is available at www.dte.org.in.
* As per the rule, 80% seats of every course are filled by centralized admission procedure. Out of 80% seats, 65% seats are filled on the basis of Maharashtra government entrance exam (MHCET) while 15% seats are filled on the basis of AIEEE score.
* 20% seats are filled at institute level.
