Located in Our beloved founder Padmabhushan Pujya Late Shri. K. J. Somaiya laid the foundation of Somaiya Vidyavihar in 1959. It was the distinguished vision of our beloved founder that modern professional education must remain true to the sprit of Indian ethos and culture. In the past five decades, Somaiya Vidyavihar has grown into an educational complex with thirty five institutions catering to diverse fields of education such as Humanities, Engineering, Education, Management, and Mass-communication with students’ strength of 27,000 and 1,700 faculty members in a throbbing sixty six acres campus., The college has grown in leaps and bounds in terms of student strength, courses, subjects offered and facilities etc. The college had an opportunity to endorse its standard and class through the National Assessment and Accreditation Council, an autonomous institution of University Grants Commission, in 2004. The college received ‘A’ grade in the assessment.
