Don Bosco Maritime Academy has been set up to train prospective and serving seagoing personnel, as per the STCW Convention of International Maritime Organisation (IMO).
We are committed to producing engineers who will be among the best in the marine industry. Since it is not the profit motive that drives us, we are able to plough back surplus funds into growth and development on all fronts - academic, technological and professional. Our driving ambition is to make sure that our students turn out to be excellently trained, competent and committed engineers.
Our location on the campus of St. Joseph’s Technical School Trust is spread over an area of 6.25 acres. Lush green football fields and magnificent trees surround 10,000 sq. feet of enclosed workshops, creating an ideal atmosphere to pursue learning.
Our main training course is ‘ATS for Marine Engineers’ and has the approval of the Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India. We also have an ISO 9001:2008 certification for this course from Indian Register Quality Systems.
We have active liaison with several shipping companies, dry docks, new constructions in the offshore and onshore industries, catering to services, processes and construction. We also conduct varied training programmes and conduct skill assessment tests for engineers and technicians of these companies. Some of the major names in shipping and associated industries are our clients.
Don Bosco Maritime Academy offers various graduate courses as well as Post Graduate courses.
