The Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya is started in 2001 with a meager strength of 19 students, now nurtures the ambitions of more than 1200 students. The college provides graduates and postgraduates courses in Computer Sci., Biotechnology, Library Sci., and Journalism. We prepare students as active professionals. They learn to approach aesthetic, intellectual and technical problems through scholarly and experimental analysis. Concurrently, students develop highly professional attitude towards their work and solutions of significant creative problems. Graduates pursue challenging and exciting carriers in academics and professional.

Swami Vivekanand Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Ahmedpur has established Swami Vivekanand Mahavidyalaya at Udgir (M.S.) in June 2001. The college is permanently affiliated to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathawada University, Nanded and included under section 2(F) and 12(B) of U.G.C. Act 1956. The college has established research centers in Computer Science and Biotechnology which are the offspring of the college.
