      About College of Nursing, Indore

      Modern nursing, as an art of science combined, aims at meeting the totality of the patient’s needs and emphasis is given to the management, prevention of diseases, as well as promotion of positive health. Indore has also along been an important center for the development of scientific medicine from very early days. The college started in 1960 under the administrative control of Dr. B.C. Bose The first Dean M.G.M. Medical College, Indore and Ms. Ratnam as Principal. The college was inspected by INC in the year 1965 and got its recognition in 1966. The first batch graduated in 1964. The college is also recognized by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore and State Nursing Council. Every year the candidates who stands first in the final year B.Sc. Nursing examination is awarded by Dr. Vinayak Pundalik Sant. Gold Medal by the University and President Medal (Silver medal) by dufferin fund.
