Course Information & Syllabus
The MA Political Science programme aims at enabling the learners to have theoretical insights into some fundamental elements in the realm of political thought and philosophy even as the learners are sought to be acquainted with the actual dynamics of political processes and events at various levels of political existence, be it regional, national or international. Accordingly, the learners are introduced to such areas as political theory and thought, (both Indian and Western), the Indian political system, public administration encompassing both theory and practice, human rights and so on. Significantly, in the fourth semester, certain optional courses like Public Personnel Administration, Comparative Public Administration, Women and Politics, and Peace and Conflict Studies have been included. All courses ares are compulsory. However, in 4th Semester, learners will have to opt for any two optional courses. 20% marks in each course shall be for Home Assignment as indicated.
