KLE Technological University is a private university.It is located in Hubli. It was earlier the BV Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology which was upgraded as a University under the KLE Technological University Act, 2012. KLE Society, Belgaum,completing one hundred years of its yeomen service in the field of education and healthcare, continually looks for opportunities to enhance its reach and impact that can transform the society. In its efforts to continue to serve the cause of education, KLE Society had submitted the proposal for establishing ‘KLE Technological University, Hubballi’ by upgrading one of it’s prestigious institutions ‘B. V. Bhoomaraddi College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli’ to the status of University. Government has given permission to establish the University, through the Act enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature ‘KLE Technological University, Act 2012’. Accordingly, the K.L.E. Society has decided to commence the University from the academic year. The success of college in establishing it’s own unique brand in the autonomous mode, prompted KLE society to seek the status of State Private University. The University status will provide a great opportunity to create a learning experience that is flexible and responsive to the demands of emerging competitive industrial and economic environment. With the state-of-the-art infrastructure, strong academic leaders and bright students, we intend to emerge as a globally-renowned University. The University will continue to develop strong linkages with industry in design, development and delivery of the courses / programs. There will be increased focus to develop strong post Graduate and Research programs. We strongly believe that KLE Technological University will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the region through entrepreneurship and research activities.
