    John Cox Memorial C.S.I Institute Of Technology , Kannammola, Thiruvananthapuram with G. O. (MS) No. 124/09/H.Edn dt.3.8.09 Govt. of Kerala and affiliated with AICTE F. No. 06/06/KER/ENGG/2009-10/020 dt. 30.6.2009, Govt. of India, is functioning under the administrative control of the Society for Technical Training (STT) of South Kerala Diocese (SKD) of Church of South India (CSI), which is an educational agency fully owned and controlled by South Kerala Diocese (SKD) . The management of the institution is vested with the Governing Body and the Executive Committee headed by the Rt. Rev. A. DHARMA RAJ RASALAM, as Chairman & Manager. The constitution of the Executive Committee and Governing body is under charitable societies Registration Act XII of 1955. The institution is approved by AICTE and affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Thiruvananthapuram for its academic programs.

    The department has the following well equipped labs in addition to a well equipped computer lab:

    Every year the laboratories are upgraded with the addition of latest equipments.

    The department has an Association of Electronics & Communication Engineering (AECE) for organizing seminars, workshops, quiz competitions, national level paper presentation contest, inter department paper contest, group discussion etc.

    Bachelor of Technology (BTech Computer Science Engineering)

    The Computer Science and Engineering is the stream of the theoretical foundation of information and computation and of practical techniques for their implementation and application in Computer Systems.”
    The Department commenced in 2009 offering B.Tech Degree in Computer Science and Engineering with an intake of 60 students. The department has well qualified and dedicated staff in all major areas of the discipline along with trained technical non-teaching staffs. The Course is designed to equip students with a solid and thorough understanding of the fundamental and core subject of Computer Engineering. The computer lab provides excellent working environment with Pentium based terminals on platform like windows XP and Linux.

    The department has the following Laboratories:
    1. Programming Lab
    2. Data Structure Lab
    3. Object Oriented Programming Lab
    4. Application Software Development Lab
    5. System Software Lab
    6. Microprocessor Lab
    Every year the labs are upgraded with the addition of latest Computers and Soft wares.
    The department has an Association of Computer Science and Engineering (ACE) for organizing seminars and National level symposium for students, with the aim of updating their knowledge in various field of Computer Science and Engineering.

    “Electrical and Electronics Engineering is an engineering discipline imparting knowledge on theoretical and practical aspects of different areas of electrical engineering.
    The course is designed to have an effective blend of engineering intuition and mathematical rigour on students. The course encompasses the fundamental aspects such as power generation, transmission and distribution, power system protection, electrical machines, measurement systems, control systems, electronics devices and circuits, power electronics etc. Apart from this, it gives emphasis to emerging technologies like high voltage engineering, power semi conductors, digital signal processing, communication systems, computing and programming techniques.”

    The department has highly qualified and dedicated staff in all major areas of the discipline along with trained technical non-teaching staffs and has the best laboratory facilities.

    The following are the present major laboratories.
    1) Electrical and Electronics workshop
    2) Electrical Machine Lab-I
    3) Measurements and Instrumentation Lab
    4) Electronic Circuits Lab
    5) Digital or Circuits Lab

    The departmental Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is planning to organize seminars and National level symposiums for students, with the aim of updating their knowledge in various fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

    “Mechanical Engineering is an engineering discipline that involves the Application of principles of Physics for Analysis. Manufacturing and Maintenance of Mechanical Systems. It requires a solid understanding of key concepts including Mechanics, Kinematics, Thermodynamics and Energy. Mechanical Engineers use these principles and others in the Design and analysis of Automobiles, Aircraft, Heating and Cooling Systems, Manufacturing Plants, Industrial equipment and Machinery, Medical devices and more."

    The Department offers B.Tech degree course in Mechanical Engineering in Undergraduate level with an intake of 60 students.

    The Department has the following laboratory facilities,

    1. Basic Engineering Workshop has the facilities for basic training programme in Fitting, Sheet metal, Welding, Carpentry, Foundry, Smithy etc.
    2. Heat Engines laboratory has advanced test rigs like Turbo charged engines,CRDI Engines,MPFI Engines, Air Blowers, Reciprocating and Rotary air Compressors, Fuel and lubricant testing units.
    3. Hydraulic & Fluid Mechanics laboratory has facilities like, various types of Pumps, Turbines, Hydraulic Ram, and Standard Flow measuring devices.
    4. Computer Aided Design and Drafting lab facilities, with Auto CAD 2011.
    5. Production Engineering Lab.
    6. Electrical and Electronics Lab.
