Established in 1968, the Institute of Journalism of the Press Club Trivandrum has a glorious history of training thousands of youngsters into being journalists of note. Most of them have established themselves as warriors of the Fourth Estate across the Globe. One of the earliest schools of journalism in the country, this institute is run by the Press Club of Trivandrum, and its faculty is drawn from among professional journalists. Equipped with a state of the art computer lab, recording and editing studios and a rich library, this institute is capable of meeting the growing demand for trained hands in journalism. Various media such as newspapers and other periodicals, radio, television, online publications, advertising and communication networks etc., need academically qualified and professionally efficient youngsters to take up journalistic jobs. And the post-graduate diploma holders from this institute are readily accepted by media establishments.
