About NIE Institute Of Technology NIEIT, Mysore

NIE Institute of Technology, more fondly known as NIEIT is situated in the world famous heritage city of Mysore. It is around 12 Kms from city railway station. NIEIT was established in the year 2008 by NIE foundation R to offer degrees in Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Science and Engineering. In the year 2013, Mechanical Engineering Program was inducted into to the list of Programs offered.

NIEIT has a sprawling 25 acres of Land Area amidst prominent industries such as BEML, Infosys etc. Total of 15,282 sqm of built-up area is available for instructional and administrative purposes. In addition, NIEIT has 26,600 sqm of carpet area for amenities and other utilities. Added attraction is that the institution has a large playground for outdoor sporting such as Cricket, Football, Basket Ball and Athletic Track. Two well equipped Hostels with all modern amenities have been constructed to house around 300 students.

NIEIT has well qualified, experienced & dedicated faculty members, which include 10 PhD. holders, 26 faculty are pursuing PhD, and 32 faculty are master degree holders who are ably supported by experienced technical staff. Currently, there are around 1300 students enrolled.

The premier industries such as BEML, Infosys technologies, Kluber Lubricants, Cyient DLM, Automotive Axles, Vinyas Technologies, Skanray Technologies, Kaynes Technologies, Rane Madras Ltd. SAN Engineering and locomotive co.ltd. other medium and small scale industries/enterprises are situated nearby the institute. This aids the students and faculty members to have effective industry-institute interactions and collaborative support leading to learning, research, discovery and innovation.
