COCE established in 1995 is one of the most trusted & reputed University centre of Sikkim Manipal University (SMU) . This is the first vocational college of Bihar & Jharkhand certified with international quality certificate ISO – 9001 : 2008 from Australia. Recently college was visited by Ex Chancellor of Jharkhand , Mr. Syed Sibte Razi and was honoured with “Excellence in computer Education” award at New Delhi for its outstanding achievement . All the courses offered by SMU are recognized by University Grant Commission (U.G.C.) , DEC (Distance Education Council ) New Delhi & Ministry of H.R.D. (Govt. of India ) under section 2(f) . The courses are as per the current trends as well as future demanding which have the capacity to make their career in the information technology (IT) , Bio – Technology , Alied Health & Management fields.

COCE is shaping the career of the students of Jharkhand and Bihar in IT, Management and Allied Health Courses since last sixteen years. Situated at 102, Thakurbari Road, Aambagan, Jamshedpur, COCE is providing both Degrees and post graduation Degrees under Sikkim Manipal University, recognized by UGC, DEC & Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.

COCE has received “Award of Excellence” from Indian Economic Development and Research Association (IEDRA) in New Delhi, by Dr. Bhishm Narayan Singh, former Governor of Tamilnadu for their best Training and Placement at a Lower Cost so that students from backward section of the society may get advantages in their careers.
Influenced with the achievement of the organization, Mr. Syed Sibte Razi, formar Governor of Jharkhand visited the Campus of COCE in the year 1995.

Computer Education is having the biggest Infrastructure with a very good study environment for the students with two computer labs, seen class rooms, seminar halls with projectors and high lighters to illustrate the subjects more clearly. The training methodology at COCE reveals the fact that they are true professionals not academicians like other colleges of the Steel City not fulfilling the required parameters of such vocational training.
