Located in Established in 2008 GDC Khansahib is located in Sub- District Khansahib at a distance of about 35 kms from Srinagar. With an enrollment of 506 students the college is operating from its campus sprawling over 7.8 Acre’s of land and is situated on the picturesque Carewa of “Katrash”. The college has been shifted to its own campus in 2017. From 2008-2017, the college used to operate from the Bal-ashram building of Social Welfare Department. The college started its academic journey with B.A. degree program with 69 students enrolled and four subjects in its first year of establishment. Due to constrains of space at the Bal Ashram the college could not expand academically much but after the shift to its new campus college has introduced 17 subjects and degree programme in B.Sc. The college has the potential to become a seat of excellence as it is prospering with a steady pace., After the college shifted into its own campus, the college has been growing at a rapid pace. The college has started two new streams offering students programmes in B Sc Medical as well as B Sc Non-Medical., The college is also preparing for its first N.A.A.C Accreditation and is in the process of its submission of S.S.R., VISION, To foster the spirit of innovation in both learning and teaching skills for effective dissemination of knowledge through zealous strife for excellence with a meaningful involvement of the student community for evolving wise, self-reliant and competent human resources., MISSION, To improve the quality of education and to establish GDC Khansahib as the centre of excellence by maintaining high standard of teaching and learning process., To develop better moral values among the youth aimed at building a strong and viable society through effective involvement of the stake holders..
