Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology
This department runs two different distinct programmes – Pharmaceutical Technology and Pharmacy.
The Pharmaceutical Technology course is part of the B. Tech. programme, earlier B.Sc. (Tech.), dealing with manufacture of pharmaceuticals and drugs, and has all the ingredients of solid foundation in basic sciences, mathematics, computation and chemical engineering. B. Tech. (Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals) was started in 1940s, when the B. Sc. (Tech.) course was expanded.
