Lord Mahavira College has been established under Vardhman Educational Society, Nalagarh Regd. under SRA, 1860 with a view to prepare nurses who serve the humanity with dedication. Lord Mahavira Nursing College is 1st pioneer institute for nursing education in Himachal Pradesh offering GNM & B.SC Nursing courses. Our college is approved by Indian Nursing Council INC, New Delhi, Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council HPNRC Shimla & Himachal Pradesh University HPU, Shimla. For our high standards we have been accreted an ISO 9001: 2008 Certificate.

Mission
Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services.
Prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community nursing services and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice.
They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor and manager in a clinical/ public health setting.
