Alpha College of Engineering and Technology was established by "ALPHA EDUCATION FOUNDATION" in the year 2009 with an aim to be a leading Institution for research and engineering study, pursuing knowledge in both fundamental and applied areas, and collaborating closely with business and industry in promoting technological innovation and economic development. It is approved by A.I.C.T.E. New Delhi & Affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad. It has a well stocked computerized library, periodicals and journals in relevant fields. The institute is providing 24x7 hrs dedicated internet connectivity with 2Mbps radio link backed up by online UPS system. Electricity is available on the campus round the clock as the institute has its own generator sets apart from the normal electricity connection.

Incepted from the roots of Alpha Education Foundation Trust, ACET has been moving at the forefront of advancement for nearly a half a decade, in the area of pivotal technologies and teaching methodologies. Started with 240 seats with the Bachelor Degree in Engineering Programme, the institute now has total intake of 924 in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Civil Engineering. The institute also offers a Postgraduate programme in Computer Engineering.
