The Department of Management Studies, Goa University (GUDMS), is located on the picturesque Taleigao Plateau, Seven (7) Kilometers from Goa’s Capital city, Panjim. Its Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Program was initiated (in 1988) in collaboration with Jamnalal Bajaj Institute Management, Mumbai and Faculty from the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. Recognizing the need for fostering managerial and organizational excellence after the liberalization of the Indian economy, GUDMS dedicated itself to developing young and bright minds into Effective Managers in order to meet the country’s needs.

We’re Different
Unlike private Management Institutes, we are one “Department” amongst many others at Goa University. Ours is a Multi-disciplinary setting, where avenues are created to facilitate interactions amongst all these departments, thereby developing “Togetherness” and building a “Knowledge Exchange” culture.
Goa University has a large percentage of international students. Being exposed to such a multi-cultural environment creates opportunities for us to understand and adapt to diverse cultures, through interactions in both academic and social settings. We view this as an added advantage, as we have become conscious of the fact that values, beliefs and personalities as a whole are to some extent, centered on cultural backgrounds. We can confidently sat that our scope for success in organizations, especially multinational companies, grows wider, year on year.

Over the years, GUDMS has successfully achieved its objective of producing highly effective managers to cater to the needs of the Indian, as well as Foreign Industries. The Bulk of these Managers (Alumni)MBA pass outs,currently seat in positions of Authority in various organizations across the Globe. The success justifies GUDMS’s having to cater to a number of reputed organizations, which visit its Campus on a yearly basis, for Recruitments.
