Thanthai Hans Roever College of Arts and Science is an educational institution run by the St. John Sangam Trust. It was established in 1985, as a religious minority institution in memory of Rev. Fr. Hans Roever, a missionary from Germany, with the primary objective of providing higher education to the weaker and backward sections of the society in general and the Christian minority in particular. The trust is now run under the efficient and benevolent leadership of the founder – chairman,Dr. K.

The College, however, admits students of all faiths and religions and seeks to provide for them the best possible higher education. The College now offers eight Under-Graduate, ten Post-Graduate and two Post-Graduate Diploma courses of study besides research programmes leading to M.Phil.

Christhu Raj College is situated in Royal Nagar Panjappur, Viralimalai Road, Trichy on the National Highways. The enlightened public of Kanhangad and Nileshwar resolved to honour the memory of Jawaharlal Nehru by setting up a trust known as Nehru Memorial Education Society in 1966 under the distinguished president ship of late C.K.Nair. The society established Nehru Arts & Science College, Kanhangad affiliated to the University of Calicut in 1968.
