During 41 years, the managing committee, the principals and the staff of S.P.N. College contributed a lot to the expansion and progress of this institution. In the beginning, the college had five classrooms and the student strength was less than four hundred. But the college continued making tremendous progress every year.

Established in 1968, Master Tara Singh Memorial College For Women, Ludhiana was the first women college to commemorate the cherished memory of Master Tara Singh-an educationist and a great visionary-to serve the cause of women education with about 150 students and 7 teachers. Government Pandit Madhav Rao Sapre College was established on 11th November 1989 in the name of Pandit Madhav Rao Sapre. College is affiliated to Bilaspur University. The College was shifted to the new building adjacent to the old structure in the year 2001. The institution was the only Girl’s College in the area in last session 2014-15. The college has been converted into a co-ed colege from the present session 2015-16 by the order of the Government of Chhattisgarh.

Government Degree College Chaubattakhal was established in October, 1979 as a higher education centre in the remote and backward hilly region of Uttarakhand state.
