Krishnasamy Memorial Polytechnic College is run by Sri Krishnasamy Reddiar Educational Trust which was founded in 1990 by Dr.K.Rajendran, M.S., FICS.,FAIS., an eminent surgeon in Cuddalore. The Trust is also running the Krishnasamy College of Engineering & Technology since 2001 and Krishnasamy College of Science, Arts and Management for Women from 2007 at S.Kumarapuram. The Institute of Road Transport was established in 1976 under the Control of Government of Tamil Nadu and has been registered as a society under the Indian Societies Registration Act 1860.
