Sanjay Memorial Institute of Technology (SMIT) is the first private unaided Technical / Professional Institute in Orissa established in the year 1980 by Late Brundaban Nayak, Ex- Minister of Govt.of Orissa the founder of the institution and Registered under Society Registration Act 1960, vide No. GJM-6-6- of 1980-81.In the year 1980, our late founder Brundaban Nayak has initially started A.M.I.E and Diploma courses and constructed infrastructure facilities like Building, Hostel, Play ground etc.
