Doaba College, Jalandhar is a Multi-Faculty Postgraduate Co-educational Premier Institution of Northern India which has done a remarkable service to the people of Doaba region for the last 70 years. BH College, Barpeta was established in 1966 with initially only with Arts faculty in Barpeta. It got its affiliation from Gauhati University, Assam. The college has now grown into a premium college in Assam catering the need of higher education in the entire region.

Government Rani Rashmi Devi Singh College, Khairagarh Raj began its academic odyssey in pursuit of excellence on 2 November 1983 in the polytechnic college with Art Faculty. The college was shifted to its present site in year 1992-93. Formally it was known as Govt College Khairagarh. It was re-manned on 1996 after the name of famous leader Rani Rashmi Devi Singh owing to her contribution towards its establishment.

The College was established by Takahtpur Shikshan Samiti on 15th July 1965 with Arts and Science faculty upto under graduate level.Govt. J.M.P. College is know by the name of Late Shri. Janak Lal Motilal Pandey.
