Indira Gandhi National College, Kurukshetra is located on the outskirts of Village Dhanora Jattan on the Ladwa- Mustafabad Road. This college is the outcome of the strenuous and ceaseless efforts made by its founder President Late Sh. Om Prakash Garg. Hindu College, Sonepat was established in 1956. The prime mover behind the effort was Lala Dhani Ram Ji. Master Ji, the best mathematics teacher of his time, dedicated his whole life in the service of Hindu High School and is revered (why mince words- worshipped) by his old students and general public of the area. The college was the catalyst for other Hindu institutions in town and has excellent academic standards. Hindu High school named its hostel after this great man.

Maharaja Agrasen PG College for Women, Jhajjar saw its emergence in the year 1984, with the devoted, sincere and visionary team of Aggarwal Community. The college is affiliated to MDU, Rohtak and is situated right in the heart of the town. The long-cherished dream of women education unfolded into reality with the most sincere and dedicated efforts of the Management Committee and Government authorities.

This institution evolved as an undergraduate college under the faculty of Arts but now it has 18 teaching departments under the faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce. The NAAC peer team visited the college on 4th and 5th January 2003 and accredited the institution B +. The college also provides education for Post Graduate Courses in English, Hindi, Mathmatics and Commerce.

During 41 years, the managing committee, the principals and the staff of S.P.N. College contributed a lot to the expansion and progress of this institution.
