Periyar University Constituent College of Arts and Science was started at Pappireddipatty in Dharmapuri District under G.O.No.169 dated 22.07.2011 and offers FIVE UG Programmes from the Academic year 2011-12. The College is mainly meant for rural students. Now the total strength is 243 .

Periyar University College of Arts and Science, Pappireddipatti was started by Government of Tamil Nadu by GO (Perm) No: 169, 2011. It is a constituent college of Periyar University and affiliated on 22.07.2011. The College is located a kilometer away from Pappireddipatti bus stand and the college has 6.21 acres of land, which is situated around a beautiful landscape that is right under the Shevaroys Hills. The new building with its excellent infrastructure and expert scholarly faculty members happens to be the highlight of the college.

The College offers six disciplines for under graduate level such as Tamil, English, Commerce, Computer Science, Mathematics and Physics. There are around 900 students in our college.

It strives relentlessly to turn itself into an institution with PG and Research Departments which in turn would produce innumerable first time research scholars hailing from poor rural background.

An educational institution whose sole purpose is to empower/uplift the underprivileged marginalized sect of students by providing quality higher education which will provide an exposure and equip them with the knowledge and skills required to meet the demands of the competitive world.
