Tarakeswar Degree College is a relatively new college as compared to other colleges in the neighbourhood.It was established twenty two years ago on 5th September- a day celebrated as the Teachers’ Day in memory of Dr. Sarbapally Radhakrishnan, a renowned Indian philosopher and educationist.They worked relentlessly to transform their dreams into reality, to enlighten and ignite the minds of a large section of uneducated off-springs of peasant families.

During World War II, the apprehension of bombardment of Kolkata endengered exodus of people from the city Kolkata on an alarming scale as a result, the authorities of the big non Governmentt Colleges in Kolkata in a 'dispersal' scheme proposed off-shoots of those colleges in different parts of West Bengal, miles away from the capital of which Katwa was one.

Kalna College Alumni Association was established on 23.01.2004 through a General meeting of Exstudents, Kalna College those of whm got admission to College since 1943. The meeting was convened by the then Principal Dr. Satiranjan Chakraborty. The constitution was registered in 2006 under W.B. Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 vide our registration No. S/IL/36965 of 2006-2007.

Jamini Roy College was founded in December, 1986 at Beliatore, a small town in the Bankura District of West Bengal. Patna Women’s College was founded in 1940 by Bishop B.J. Sullivan S.J., Bishop of Patna and Mother M. Josephine A.C. Superior General of the Apostolic Carmel. Bundi is Known for its cultural heritage as Chhoti Kashi, the picture of the town Bundi is posited on the Jaipur-Jabalpur |National Highway at a distance of about 37 Kilometers from Kota.
