The H. M. Naik Gaunekar Institute of Management Training & Research was launched in 1981 with the laudable objective of accommodating the desire of working people to obtain managerial qualifications and also to impart in-service training to officer cadres of the Government.

Adarsha Institute of Management was formed in 2007 by the Madgaon Higher Education Society. The Institute's goal is to transform students into successful and socially responsible business leaders.

Institute of Management Training and Research (IMTR) now steps into its 31st year of knowledge of sharing. IMTR has pioneered Management and Training programmes all over the country as well as in the state of Goa. Established in 1981, IMTR has been designing need-based Training programmes for Central Government Officers, Corporate bodies and Educational Institutes. It commenced the part-time PGDBA programme in the year 2000 to cater to the needs of working executives as well as fresh Graduates.
