Government Polytechnic Palanpur was established in the year 1984. The Government of Gujarat allotted 20 Acres of land on which stands the majestic & sprawling Govt. Polytechnic campus. This institute started in the year 1984 with three Diploma level Engineering courses (Civil, Mechanical, and Elect) for the development of border area district. In 1994 another two courses has been started (E&C ENGG, I&C ENGG) for the advancement in technology.
