XAT 2027 Cutoff: Qualifying Benchmarks and Historical Trends
XLRI and other XAT-accepting institutions had not published XAT 2027 cutoffs as of 9 October 2026. A cutoff is an institution- and programme-specific screening benchmark, not a universal XAT pass mark or a guarantee of admission. Use official admission notices when the cycle's criteria are released.
What determines a cutoff?
- Programme and institute: BM, HRM and other courses may use different overall and sectional benchmarks.
- Number and strength of applicants, available seats and the institute's shortlist policy.
- Sectional performance as well as overall percentile; a high overall score may not offset a required sectional threshold.
- Any profile dimensions the institution explicitly uses, such as academic background, gender, work experience or other programme criteria.
- Later interview, written assessment, academic record and document verification requirements.
Qualifying benchmarks and category-wise trends
There is no single category-wise cutoff applicable to every XAT candidate. XLRI may publish separate programme tables and profile-group comparisons for a given cycle; other schools publish their own rules. When reviewing a historical BM or HRM benchmark, match the year, programme, overall/sectional columns and the exact applicant group. A previous-year threshold is context only and must not be presented as the 2027 cutoff.
The XAT 2026 cutoff information on IndCareer is retained as historical context at the legacy route /en/xat-cut-off/. Confirm any historical figure against the issuing institute's notice before using it. The official 2027 threshold remains to be announced.
How to use cutoff information
- Start with the target institute's official cutoff or shortlist notice.
- Compare the right programme and applicant group, including each required sectional benchmark.
- Apply to schools based on the full profile and eligibility, not a predicted cutoff alone.
- Continue preparing for later selection stages; crossing a cutoff only indicates possible shortlisting.
