GMAT Result, Score Report & Score Validity
GMAT results are delivered as score reports through the candidate's GMAC account rather than through a single annual result announcement. Online delivery timing can vary; check the current GMAC estimate and account status after the appointment. Do not plan against a promised fixed date unless it appears in your current candidate account.
How to access a score report
- Visit the official GMAT account portal and sign in.
- Open the score or appointment area and follow the current instructions to view or download your official report.
- Review your name, test date, total score, section scores and any percentile information shown.
- Use the official score-sending function to send reports to selected schools; check recipient limits and fees before submitting.
- Contact GMAC support if a report is missing or contains an error.
Score scale and use
The current GMAT total score scale is 205-805, with section scores from 60-90 for Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights. Business schools set their own score expectations, application deadlines and weighting. A GMAT score is one part of an admissions decision and is not itself a qualification or admission offer.
Validity
GMAT scores are generally valid for five years, subject to GMAC's current score-report policy. Check the report and official policy for the exact expiration date, school-recipient rules and any reinstatement or cancellation conditions that apply to your record.
