Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2026
Candidates must meet rigorous academic eligibility requirements to apply and secure admission through BITSAT:
- For B.E. Programmes: Candidates must have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with adequate proficiency in English.
- For B.Pharm Programmes: Candidates must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) or Mathematics (PCM) with adequate proficiency in English.
- Minimum Marks Benchmark: The applicant must have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology subjects in Class 12, with at least 60% marks individually in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
- Year of Passing: Only students appearing in their Class 12 examination in 2026 or who passed Class 12 in 2025 are eligible. Candidates who passed in 2024 or earlier are not eligible.
- Direct Admission for Board Toppers: First rank holders (toppers) of all Central and State boards in PCM/PCB are guaranteed direct admission to the programme of their choice at BITS Pilani, irrespective of their BITSAT score.
- Campus Enrollment Restriction: Students currently studying in any of the BITS Pilani campuses are ineligible to appear for BITSAT.

Special Bonus Questions Feature
If a candidate completes all 130 questions before the 180-minute timer expires, the computer system unlocks an optional set of 12 bonus questions (4 from Physics, 4 from Chemistry, and 4 from Mathematics/Biology). However, once a candidate opts for the bonus questions, they cannot navigate back to review or alter their answers to the original 130 questions. Bonus questions carry standard scoring (+3 correct, -1 incorrect), allowing candidates to achieve scores up to 426 marks.
