Detailed Guide

About AILET (All India Law Entrance Test)

AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is the national law entrance examination conducted by National Law University Delhi (NLU Delhi). For the 2027-28 admission year, the official notice covers the five-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and one-year LL.M. programmes. The university publishes a separate AIET process for certain other programmes, including Ph.D.; do not confuse that test with AILET.

The official AILET 2027 portal and admission announcement were checked on 9 October 2026. Applications opened on 7 August 2026; the regular application deadline is 10 November 2026. AILET is scheduled for 13 December 2026, 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Confirm live notices and candidate-portal instructions before applying or travelling.

No. They determine eligibility to apply. The admission cutoff is based on test merit, seats, category rules and counselling.
Q18How should I compare category-wise AILET cutoffs?
Compare official closing ranks for the same programme, category and counselling round across years; treat past results as historical context, not a 2027 guarantee.
