Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should have a Master’s degree or a professional in the same or allied subjects, declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate. A relaxation of 5% for the reserved castes is given.

Selection Criteria
Ph.D. Candidates will be admitted in a two-stage process through the following:
- Entrance Test to be held once a year
- An interview (or more if required for Ph.D.) in a year
Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/DST-INSPIRE/AYUSH-NET or equivalent national level examination/fellowship (as identified by DRC)/GATE/teacher fellowship holder can directly appear for interview. The syllabus for the entrance test will consist of 50% questions on research aptitude/methodology and 50% subject-specific questions.

- Download the application form online and fill the necessary details
- Submit the application form at the VPCI office and pay the application fees. The fees are mentioned in the bulletin of information for each course.
- The payment of application fee is done by cheque/DD, no cash is accepted
- After the successful selection of the candidates after the entrance test results, candidates are required to fill the online counselling form
