The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana State, is inviting online applications from eligible candidates aspiring to become teachers for Classes I to VIII in schools across Telangana. These candidates are invited to appear for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS-TET-2024), which will be conducted online as a Computer Based Test (CBT) between May 20th and June 3rd, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for TS TET
Candidates applying for TS-TET must meet the following minimum qualifications prescribed for categories of Classes I to V (Paper-I) and Classes VI to VIII (Paper-II) separately:
Minimum Qualifications
For Paper-I (Classes I to V):
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However, for SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks required are 45%. AND must pass a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
- Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks required are 40%. AND must pass a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) if the candidate has passed or been admitted to the D.El.Ed/D.Ed course prior to the issue of these guidelines.
For Paper-II (Classes VI TO VIII):
- B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with at least 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks required are 45%. AND must pass a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education). OR
- B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. with at least 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks required are 40%. AND must pass a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) if the candidate has passed or been admitted to the B.Ed course prior to the issue of these guidelines. OR
- 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks. For SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks required are 45%.
TS TET 2024 Application Process
- Candidates are required to begin by downloading the ‘Information Bulletin’ from the TS-TET website https://tstet.cgg.gov.in at no cost, and verify their eligibility for TS-TET-2024.
- The detailed procedure for applying online is outlined in the Information Bulletin.
- Candidates can obtain the ‘Information Bulletin’ free of charge from the website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in starting from March 22, 2024.
- Online application submissions will be accepted from March 27, 2024, to April 10, 2024, through https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in.
Exam Fee
- The examination fee for appearing in a Single Paper (either Paper I or Paper II) is Rs.1000/- (One Thousand Rupees only). Candidates opting to appear for both Paper I and II are required to pay a fee of Rs.2000/- (Two Thousand Rupees Only).
- Candidates can make the payment of the exam fee through the online payment option available at the website https://schooledu.telangana.gov.in between March 27, 2024, and April 10, 2024.
TS TET 2024 Exam Pattern
- The structure and content of each part of Paper-I and Paper-II of the TSTET and the breakup of the total 150 marks among various parts of the paper are given in the Information Bulletin

Exam Centers
TS-TET-2024 will be conducted online as a Computer Based Test between May 20, 2024, and June 3, 2024, in the 11 districts of the state. Candidates have the option to submit their preferences for examination centers (districts). However, the Convenor, TSTET-2024, retains the discretion to allocate candidates to the examination districts based on the capacity of each district.

Candidates can download their Hall Tickets from the website https://tstet.cgg.gov.in starting from May 15, 2024.
