Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET) is conducted for admission into M.B.A. and M.C.A. courses of all the Universities in Telangana State and their affiliated colleges. This test is being conducted by Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Nalgonda

TG ICET Exam Pattern 2026
The exam pattern is divided into three sections. There are a total of 200 questions, each carrying 1 mark, making the total score 200. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes (2.5 hours). The medium of instruction for the test is English and Telugu, except for the Communication Ability section, which is in English.

TG ICET Marking Scheme 2026
TG ICET follows a straightforward marking scheme. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers, which encourages candidates to attempt all questions.
- Correct Answer: +1 Mark
- Incorrect Answer: 0 Marks (No Negative Marking)
- Unattempted Question: 0 Marks
TG ICET Syllabus 2026: Detailed Breakdown
Section-A: Analytical Ability: 75Q (75 Marks)
1. Data Sufficiency: 20 Questions (20 Marks)
A question is followed by data in the form of two statements labeled as I and II. Candidates must determine if the data is sufficient to answer the question.
- Choice (1): Data in statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question.
- Choice (2): Data in statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question.
- Choice (3): Both statements together are sufficient, but neither alone is sufficient.
- Choice (4): Both statements together are not sufficient; additional data is needed.
Note: Questions 1 to 15 are typically mathematical in nature, while questions 16 to 20 may be verbal.
2. Problem Solving: 55 Questions (55 Marks)
a) Series: (25 Questions and 25 Marks)
- Analogies of Numbers and Alphabets including completion of blank spaces in a:b::c:d relationships.
- Odd things out (The data should contain more number of terms at least seven, followed by four options).
- Missing Numbers in a sequence or a series (At least seven terms should be given in the hypothesis to arrive at a unique answer).
b) Data Analysis: (10 Questions and 10 Marks)
- Table / Graph to be analyzed for answering the questions.
- Bar Diagram/ Pie Chart to be analyzed for answering the questions.
- Venn Diagram or a passage to be analyzed for answering the questions.
c) Coding and Decoding Problems: (10 Questions and 10 Marks)
- A Code Pattern of English alphabet (Group Comprehension).
- A Word or a group of letters to be coded or decoded based on certain codes.
d) Date, Time & Arrangement Problems: (10 Questions and 10 Marks)
- Calendar problems
- Clock problems

- Symbols and notation interpretation
Section-B: Mathematical Ability 75Q (75 Marks)
I. Arithmetical Ability (35 Questions and 35 Marks)
Laws of indices, ratio and proportion; surds; numbers and divisibility, l.c.m. and g.c.d; Rational numbers, Ordering.; Percentages; Profit and loss; Partnership, Pipes and cisterns, time, distance and work problems, areas and volumes, mensuration, modular arithmetic.
II. Algebraical and Geometrical Ability (30 Questions and 30 Marks)
Sets, Polynomials, Remainders theorem & Consequences, Linear Equations in two Variables, Algebraic expressions, Arithmetic and Geometric progressions, Trigonometric ratios of angles (0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°, 180°), Trigonometric identities, Heights and Distances, Plane geometry of Lines and Triangles, Plane geometry of Quadrilaterals, Plane geometry of Circles, Coordinate geometry- Distance between two points – Coordinate geometry – Section formula, slope of a line, Lines y=mx, Lines y=mx+c and Lines y – y1=m (x-x1).
III. Statistical Ability: (10 Questions and 10 Marks)
Mean, Median, Mode and simple problems on Probability.
Section-C: Communication Ability: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
Objectives of the Test
Candidates will be assessed on the ability to:
- Identify vocabulary used in the day-to-day communication.
- Understand the functional use of grammar in day-to-day communication as well as in the business contexts.
- Identify the basic terminology and concepts in computer and business contexts (letters, reports, memoranda, agenda, minutes etc.).
- Understand written text and drawing inferences
Part 1: Meanings (sentences with dashes)

Part 3: Verb (Tense & Voice)
Part 4: Phrasal Verbs & Idioms
Part 5: Articles & Prepositions
Part 6: Computer Terminology
Part 7: Business Terminology
Part 8: Comprehension (three) passages (Each passage carries five questions)

TG ICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal, on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE).
