About RMTU Gwalior
Raja Mansingh Tomar Arts & Music University was established on 19th August 2008. The university is named after a generous and music loving ruler Raja Mansingh Tomar (1486-1518) because the king always promoted the ancient Indian Art and during his period there was tremendous progress in Music and Sculpture. He provided patronage to sculpture, art of engraving, drawing and painting and the ancient Indian Culture.
Initially, the university started functioning with five Faculties of Music, Dance, Fine Arts, Theatre and Social Science with affiliation to nearly 95 institutions of Madhya Pradesh.
