Eligibility Criteria

For admission to All India Seats and NRI Sponsored Seats at PDPU, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

  1. The candidate should have obtained a rank in Paper-1 of JEE (Main).
  2. The candidate must have passed the Qualifying Exam with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in both theory and practical of Physics & Mathematics (along with Chemistry or Biology or Computer or Vocational Subject) from a single board.

For NRI Candidates:

Candidates must have passed the qualifying exam abroad with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in aggregate in both theory and practical of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Additionally, they must have passed one of the following exams:

  • SAT Subject Tests (SAT II) of level-II Physics, Mathematics, & Chemistry
  • AP tests at A-levels in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry
  • Equivalent standard exam of the United Kingdom (UK) education system in Physics, Mathematics, & Chemistry
  • JEE (Main)

If the qualifying exam awards Letter Grade / Performance Index or Graded Point Average instead of percentage marks, an equivalence certificate is required from the school authority. Candidates must also produce an equivalence certificate of the qualifying exam from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.

Reservation:

Seats are reserved for candidates of All India Seats under the following categories:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
  • Physically Challenged (PC): 03% (Minimum Disability of 40%)
  • Girls Variable Supernumerary Seats (GVSS): 10%

Candidates seeking admission on a reserved seat must produce a Caste Certificate from the competent authority in either English or Hindi.

Application Process

Candidates can apply online through the University’s website www.pdpu.ac.in within the specified time frame. To apply for admission, candidates must submit their application online on the University website within the designated time period. (Please refer to the University website – https://www.pdpu.ac.in/ for the online application procedure).

The University will announce important details such as application dates, deadline for submission of application forms, available programs, and other relevant information through advertisements in leading national newspapers, on the website, and through other appropriate channels. For the application process, candidates are required to make an online payment. Additionally, candidates must upload scanned copies of the required certificates and testimonials as specified in the application form.

Application Fee:

  • Rs. 700/- for candidates who have passed the 12th Standard from a school located in the state of Gujarat.
  • Rs. 1200/- for candidates who have passed the 12th Standard from a school located outside the state of Gujarat.
  • Rs. 1200/- for candidates applying for NRI seats.

Mode of Payment:
Payment can be made through internet banking/debit card/credit card.

Selection Process:

For All India Seats: The admission committee will prepare an inter-se merit list for eligible candidates based on their JEE Main Overall Rank for B.E/B.Tech obtained in the JEE Main Examination.

For NRI Candidates:

Admission will be granted based on:

  • SAT Subject Tests (formerly SAT II) of Physics, Mathematics, OR
  • AP tests at A-levels in Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry OR
  • Equivalent standard examination of United Kingdom (UK) education system in Physics, Mathematics, & Chemistry ORand to apply online, please
  • JEE-Main
  • Performance in the 12th standard or equivalent examination.
