Eligibility Criteria

For admission to MBA Programmes at Lovely Professional University, applicants must meet the following Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:

  • Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST (MBA)

Qualifying Exam:

  • Applicants appearing for LPUNEST (MBA) should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2024, in the final examination of Graduation from University Grants Commission (UGC) recognized University, Institution, college, etc.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Exam:

For MBA, MBA (Financial Markets), MBA (Supply Chain & Logistics), MBA (International Business), MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Management):

  • Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CAT or XAT or MAT or CMAT or NMAT and Interview.
  • Completed Company Secretary (CS) from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), subject to qualifying Interview.
  • Completed Chartered Accountancy (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), subject to qualifying Interview.
  • Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), subject to qualifying Interview.

For MBA (Business Analytics):

  • Pass with 55% aggregate marks in B.E. or B.Tech. (any discipline) or B.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) or B.Sc. (Maths) or B.A. (Economics or Math or Statistics) or Pass in B.Com or BBA or BCA or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CAT or XAT or MAT or CMAT or NMAT and Interview.
  • Completed Company Secretary (CS) from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), subject to qualifying Interview.
  • Completed Chartered Accountancy (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), subject to qualifying Interview.
  • Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), subject to qualifying Interview.

For MBA [1+1 with international credit transfer option]:

  • Pass with 55% aggregate marks in Bachelor’s degree (any discipline) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST or CAT or MAT or XAT or NMAT or CMAT and Interview.
  • Completed Company Secretary (CS) from Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), subject to qualifying Interview.
  • Completed Chartered Accountancy (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), subject to qualifying Interview.
  • Completed Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), subject to qualifying Interview.

Application Process

  • Aspirants can apply for LPU NEST 2024 through either a semi-online or online application method.

Semi-Online Application:

  • If the candidate does not want to send the hard copy of the application, fill in the details in the online application https://nest.lpu.in/mba/.
  • If the candidate has purchased the LPUNEST kit, enter the OMR sheet No. and Unique OMR code in the specified field and submit the online application.

Online Application:

  • Step 1: Registration
  • Step 2: Make payment for the online application. Pay the application fee of Rs. 500 (for boys) and Rs. 250 (for girls) through either Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking.
  • Step 3: Fill in the details in the online application.
  • Step 4: Upload scanned photograph and signature.
  • Step 5: Submit the Online Application.

Examination Fee

  • Examination fee (per semester) of Rs. 4000 for the 1st semester is payable along with the fee of the 2nd semester or before.
  • Modes of Payment – Through Credit Card/ Debit Card & Cash / Demand Draft/

Admission Criteria

  • An applicant will be shortlisted for an interview based on his/ her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST.
  • The final selection for admission in MBA (Hons.) will be based on the Written Essays (20% weightage), Interview (60% weightage), and Work Experience (20% weightage) subject to scoring minimum marks in the Interview.

Exam Pattern

  • The test duration is 150 minutes and consists of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type.
  • The approximate distribution of questions is as follows:
    • English: 40 questions
    • General Awareness: 20 questions
    • General Aptitude: 40 questions
  • All Subjects are compulsory. For English, Current Awareness, and General Aptitude each question carries 3 marks each. The language of the entrance test shall be English only. The duration of the test will be 150 Minutes.
  • There will be no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswered questions.
