LPU NEST

LPUNEST is an essential entrance test for securing admission to a wide range of programs at Lovely Professional University (LPU). These include B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Tech (Lateral Entry), MBA, Specialized MBA, BBA, Integrated BBA–MBA, Ph.D., B.Sc. (Hotel Management), BHMCT, B.A. LL.B., BBA LL.B., LL.B., LL.M., B.Design, B.Sc. (Design), M.Design, M.Sc. (Design), UG and PG courses in Medical Laboratory Sciences, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, M.Sc. Agriculture, B.Pharm., M.Pharm., M.Pharm. (Ayurveda), B.Pharm (Lateral Entry), B.Sc. (Film and TV Production), M.Sc. (Film and TV Production), B.Sc., Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), MPT, M.Sc., B.Com., B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics, BCA, B.Sc. LPUNEST Course Wise Details

Eligibility Criteria

• To be eligible for LPUNEST applicant must have either completed or should be appearing in class 12 examination
• They must belong to the recognised school and appearing/appear in the CBSE / ICSE / State board / PSEB or other such board class 10+2 examination.

For admission in B.Tech applicant should
=> Score 70% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* OR
=> Score 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* subject to valid score in LPUNEST/ JEE (Main).

For B.Tech Biotechnology (BT), and B.Tech – BT (Food Process Engineering)
=> Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths/ Biology/ Biotech; other things remaining same as above.

For admission in B.Tech (with Hons), Integrated B.Tech – M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech – MBA applicant should
=> Score 80% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)# OR
=> Score 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)# subject to valid score in LPUNEST

For B.Tech– Hons Biotechnology (BT)
=> Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths/ Biology/ Biotech; other things remaining same as above.

Exam Cities

List of cities where LPUNEST will be conducted

Test centres will be operational on all the days except Public Holidays and weekly offs. However in a few cities, test centre will be operational on specific days of the mon15 August 2024th only.

Paper Pattern / Exam Pattern

The test duration is of 120 minutes and consists of 90 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type.

Applicants can opt for either Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Language of the entrance test shall be English only.Each question carries four marks. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers or unanswered questions

The question paper of Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test will be as per the exam pattern.

Application Fee for LPUNEST:

• Soft Copy of LPUNEST Kit: ₹1,000 (for boys and girls)
• Printed LPUNEST Kit: ₹1,500 (for boys and girls)

The application fee can be paid through online banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.

💰 Scholarship Brackets

LPUNEST is primarily a scholarship test. Your performance determines which “bracket” of fee waiver you fall into:

• Bracket 1 (Top 10%): Can grant up to 50%–60% tuition fee waiver.
• Bracket 2 (Next 10%): Usually 35%–45% waiver.
• Bracket 3 (Next 15%): Usually 25%–30% waiver.

Pro-Tip: Since the slot booking for the current phase closes in just 5 days (April 15), I recommend booking your slot immediately to get your preferred exam date and center.

Cut-off

Candidates have who score more than cut off Marks would feature in the merit list. Candidates names included in the merit list will be called for counselling rounds. Candidates can check previous years cut-off marks to get an idea of Cut off for the current year as cut-off will be declared after the declaration of the Result.
