The JEMSCN 2026 exam will be conducted on 07 June 2026. Its application form has released. JEMSCN is a state-level nursing entrance exam organized by WBJEEB, and its official website is wbjeeb.nic.in. This exam serves as the basis for admission to M.Sc Nursing programs in colleges across West Bengal.

The JEMScN 2026 exam is scheduled for June 7, 2026, conducted by the WBJEEB for M.Sc. Nursing admissions in West Bengal. Online registration is active from April 1 to April 18, 2026. Eligible candidates must hold a B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic degree with a valid RNRM certificate.

Eligibility criteria

a) Citizenship: Applicant must be a citizen of India.

b) Gender: Male/ Female

For any further information, candidates must follow the instructions of the Nursing Directorate, Dept. of H&FW, Govt. of W.B.

i. The candidate must pass any of the following courses from Institutes recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and obtained a registration/RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any State of India.

  • a. B. Sc. – Nursing
  • b. B. Sc. (Hons.) – Nursing
  • c. Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing
  • d. Post Basic B.Sc. (Hons)- Nursing
  • e. Post Basic B. Sc. -Nursing through distance education.

ii. Candidate must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate considering all academic years together in the examination mentioned above.

(B) Upper age limit
i. WB State Govt employee: 53 years as on 31.12 2026.
ii. Others: No upper age limit (including ESI and Central Govt. employees).

(C) Work experience:
i. WB State Govt employee: Minimum 3 years’ working experience after publication of result of the qualifying examinations (which is taken as the date of the final mark sheet) and by the last date of application.

Step-by-Step Application Process

The application is entirely online. Do not send hard copies to the Board.

  1. Registration: Visit wbjeeb.nic.in and click on the JEMScN tab. Enter name, mobile number, and email.
  2. Application Form: Fill in personal details, domicile status, and academic scores.
  3. Document Upload: Upload a recent color photograph and signature as per the dimensions specified in the bulletin.
  4. Fee Payment: Pay the ₹3000 application fee via Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.
  5. Confirmation Page: Download the “Confirmation Page” immediately after payment. This is the only proof of successful registration.

Registration

Ensure filling genuine application form available online only at www.wbjeeb.nic.in

a) The candidate will enter personal details such as, name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, identification type and number, present and permanent address, mobile number, email ID etc.

b) Candidates must be careful while entering name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, gender, and domicile. This information cannot be changed/edited/modified under any circumstances.

c) Then the candidate has to create password, review and submit the registration.

d) An application number will be generated and will appear on the screen. Also, SMS/email will be sent to the candidate.

e) Candidate must remember his/her application number, password. If the candidate forgets the password, he/she has to recover it through “Forgot Password” option. There is no other way to recover the password.

f) It is not possible for any person/agency to change/edit/input any information without knowing the password. Hence candidates must not share their password with anybody. The Board will not be responsible for any change resulting from sharing/ divulging of the password.

JEMScN Exam Fees

a) The Examination Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI only.

b) Application fee for the examination is Rs. 3000/- (Rupees three thousand only), plus the Bank’s service charges, if applicable.

c) The fee once paid is not refundable under any circumstances.

Do not wait for the last day to make fee payment to avoid payment failure by Bank
or EPG.

WB JEMScN 2026 Examination Pattern

Question Paper Format:

The exam paper comprises 100 questions, all in Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) format. Each question presents four answer options, with only one being correct. The total duration for the paper is 90 minutes. All questions are presented in English.

Scoring Method:

a) Each correct response earns 1 mark. b) Incorrect responses result in a deduction of -1/4 (25% negative) marks per question. c) Selecting more than one option, even if the correct one is among them, is marked as incorrect, incurring a -1/4 penalty. d) Not attempting a question results in zero marks.

Answering Procedure:

Candidates must mark their answers on a specially designed Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet. Evaluation is conducted using the Optical Mark Recognition method.

Examination Center Allocation:

The examination will take place solely within the Kolkata-Salt Lake/New Town zone.

Yes. For every correct answer, you get +1 mark. For every incorrect response, 0.25 (1/4) marks are deducted.

What is the exam duration and pattern?

I made a mistake in my name; can I change it during the correction window?

No. Primary data like Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, and Domicile cannot be changed during the correction window.
