JEMAT PG Exam, Kolkata announces Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria Programs 2022

Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT), Kolkata invites applications for admission to PG Exam for the academic session 2022 at its Kolkata Campus.

The Joint Entrance Management Aptitude Test (JEMAT) is a state level eligibility of the Govt. of W.B. conducted by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUTWB), Kolkata. Test held every year for admission to the MBA / AICTE approved PG Diploma programmes offered by the Management Institutions of the State (both government and private). This test is conducted by the West Bengal University of Technology on behalf of the State Government as per the guidelines framed by AICTE, in pursuance of the Supreme Court judgments and in terms of the policy framework laid down by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Colleges/Institutes can admit students from one national level test (CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT) and the state level test (JEMAT) OR only from one national level test OR only from state level test. This is as per the Ministry of HRD guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria

• The minimum qualification for admission to MBA/MHA/AICTE approved PG Diploma programs is a Bachelor’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce/ Engineering/ Technology/Medical/ Dental/ Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized universities.
• The candidates who will appear in the final examination (Graduation) to be held in 2022 may apply.

• Step 1 – Please Click on the Apply Online button first to Register yourself. You shall receive your registration number via SMS/E-Mail.
• Step 2 – Please check your E-Mail Spam Box, if a message is not received in your Inbox.
• Step 3 – Next Click on Applicant Login button to complete your form submission.
• Step 4 – Fees are payable thru Online Mode only for online registration

Application Fee

• For General / OBC Category : Rs. 600/-
• For SC / ST/ PwD Category Candidates : Rs. 350/-
• Mode of Payment : Pay Fee by Online Payment Gateway

Selection Process

• The admission through JEMAT includes three crucial stages.
• First stage – Entrance examination which is an offline general aptitude test.
• Second stage – Group discussion
• Third stage – Personal Interview.

• General English – 40 Questions; 40 Marks

• Syllabus shall be based on the intermediate/ 10+2.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

It is vital to download the JEMAT 2022 admit card from the website. Without this admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to sit for the examination. You have to download it by providing your registration number and date of birth. After printing the form, you have to paste a recent passport size photograph here. Your centre number will be mentioned here too. No changes for centre change are entertained.

• After the successful conduction of the application process, the exam conducting body releases the admit card. The hall ticket acts as proof to get entry to the examination hall. It consists of information like the candidate’s name, registration id, test date, time and venue.
• You can download the admit card from the official website by entering your registration number and password. Moreover, you must carry the admit card and photo identity proof with you on the entrance exam day.

Cutoff

After the declaration of the result, JEMAT Cutoff will be prepared. Each of the management institutes which will accept the JEMAT 2022 score will prepare their individual JEMAT Cut off and will publish it on their respective official website. The JEMAT Cutoff 2022 will list out the minimum scores that will mandatorily be required to be obtained by every aspirant, who will be desiring to take admission into that particular institute.

JEMAT Cutoff 2022 will be prepared after keeping in mind certain points such as:-
– Seat availability
– JEMAT 2022 scores
– Reservation Policies
– Applications received by the management institutes

Candidates will be called for GD/PI/Counselling (further rounds of selection) after considering the JEMAT Cut off 2022 and after analysing the candidate’s overall profile. Each institute may adopt their own selection process and may lay down their own criteria. Candidates will have to contact the institutes personally, where they will be wishing to seek admission and know their selection parameters. JEMAT 2022 Cutoff will be prepared both category wise and course wise. Certain institutes may consider the sectional cutoffs or may consider the overall cutoff, it all depends on their selection procedure and norms.

Results

The result is available in .PDF format and will furnish the name, registration number, date of birth and roll number of the candidates qualified for the counselling rounds. Note:

1. Candidates are required to appear for counselling at the scheduled date and time at MAKAUT, WB. In case a candidate cannot appear in person for
counselling, she/he can send her/his representative duly authorised by the candidate with a letter citing valid reason/s.

2. Candidates have to bring (a) all relevant mark sheets / certificates in original starting from 10th (with one photocopy of each for submission), (b) Caste Certificate(where applicable),(c) JEMAT admit card and (d) JEMAT Rank Card / Score Card (to be downloaded from the JEMAT website).

3. No change in allotment of college / institute will be allowed once the candidate completes counselling
