Eligibility Criteria
A. Academic Qualifications
Applicants must have ONE of the following qualifications in appropriate subject areas:

B. Additional Requirements
Applicants must also fulfill ONE of the following additional requirements:
- Possess a Valid GATE Score/GPAT Score (specific disciplines mentioned below).
- Attain a CPI/CGPA of 8.0 in BTech, if completed from an IIT.
- Ongoing degree may be considered as a qualifying degree if all graduation requirements are completed before the MTech program starts.
Discipline-Specific Criteria for MTech Admissions
Bioengineering:
- GATE Score in BM/BT/CH/CY/EC/EE/XE/XL/ME/PH/IN or GPAT.
Computer Science and Engineering:
- GATE score in CS/DA/EC/EE/MA/PH.
Data Science and Artificial Intelligence:
- GATE score in any engineering discipline/MA/ST.
Electrical Engineering:
- Power Systems and Power Electronics (PSPE) & Control and Instrumentation (CI):
- GATE score in EE/EC/IN/CS/PH.
- Electric Vehicle Technology (EVT):
- GATE score in ME/EE/EC/IN/AE/CY/CH/XE/XE-F/XE-C/PI.
Electronics & Communication Engineering:
- GATE Score in EC/EE/IN/PH/CS.
Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering:
- GATE Score in any engineering discipline/CY/PH/GG/XE.
Mechanical Engineering:
- Design and Manufacturing & Thermal and Fluids Engineering:
- GATE score in AE/CE/ME/PI/PH/XE.
Mechatronics Engineering:
- GATE Score in ME/EE/EC/PI/IN/AE/CS.
Application Process
- Apply Online: Eligible candidates can apply online through the IIT Bhilai website here.
- Generate Application Number: Upon filling the details, an Application Number will be generated. Candidates should make sure to note down this Application Number for future reference.
- Upload Testimonials: Please ensure to upload your testimonials wherever required to validate your information. Additionally, you will need to upload your digital photograph and signature as part of the application process.
- Final Submission: After completing the online application, finalize the submission. You will then be able to generate a printout of your online application containing your specific details and data.

Selection Process
