CDAC C CAT Exam
CDAC C-CAT is an entrance examination conducted twice a year (in January and June) for admission to various postgraduate diploma courses in Advanced Computing (PG-DAC), Mobile Computing (PG-DMC), and Big Data Analytics (PG-DBDA) offered by CDAC. The exam is conducted online and comprises two sections – Section A and Section B.

CDAC C-CAT Eligibility Criteria
Sections – C-CAT has three sections (Section A, Section B, Section C) of one hour duration each. As shown in Table 5, depending on the category of courses selected by the candidate, he/she will have to either appear for just one test paper (Section A) or two test papers (Section A and Section B) or all the three test papers (Section A, Section B and Section C).
- Mode of Exam – The exam is a Computerised mode test.
- Question type – The questions are MCQs.
- Number of Questions – There are 50 per section questions in the entrance exam.
- Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 150 per section.
- Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 1 hour per section.
- Language of Question Paper – The question paper is in language English.
Marking Scheme –
- Candidates get +3 marks for correct answer.
- And negative marks is -1 for incorrect answers
Fee Structure
C-CAT fee structure is given in Table 9. Candidates may note that the C-CAT fee once paid
is not refundable.

After filling the online C-CAT application form, the examination fee must be paid online. It
can be paid using credit/debit cards through the payment gateway that will be opened upon
clicking the ‘Online’ option of the ‘Make Payment’ step on the main menu of the application.
Candidates are advised to follow the instructions/steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/save the transaction details for their records.

Engineering degree in any discipline, M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT/Computer Applications, MCA, Postgraduate degree in Physics/Mathematics/Statistics/Electronics/Applied Mathematics/Applied Physics/Geophysics, or Graduates of DOEACC B Level.
The exam comprises two sections – Section A, Section A and Section C. Section A includes English, Mathematics, and Aptitude, and Section B includes Computer Science/IT and Section C computer architecture, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors. Each section has 50 questions, and the total duration of the exam is three hours.
