AUAT Syllabus

The AUAT syllabus is designed to assess the candidates’ knowledge and aptitude in various subjects. The syllabus may vary depending on the program applied for, as AUAT covers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It is crucial to refer to the official notification or the university’s website for the specific syllabus related to the desired program.

The portable document format (PDF) of the AUAT 2026 syllabus is as follows.

PATTERN OF AUAT

  • Question paper of AUAT-2025 will be comprised of 100 marks and examination duration will be of 2 Hours.
  • Part-I (70 Marks): Question will be from respective subject. (Refer to the point number 17 for detail syllabus).
  • Part-ll (30 Marks): Question will be on General Knowledge, General English and Islamic History & Culture (in the ratio of approximately 1:1:4)
  • Question paper will consist of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). (Except for B.A. (Hons.)/M.A. in Bengali, English, Arabic, and M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications).
  • For B.A. (Hons.)/M.A. in Bengali, English, and Arabic, and M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, 56 marks will be from relevant subject and that will be objective type MCQ and rest 14 marks will be from relevant subject that will be descriptive type.
  • Questions in all papers are to be answered on a specially designed machine gradable sheet (ORS-Optical Response Sheet) using black/blue ball point pen only.

AUAT Syllabus

  • All B.Tech. and BCA will be comprised of Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as per syllabi of classes XI & XIl of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) and Equivalent.
  • Lateral entry to the 2nd Year of B.Tech. Programmes will comprise of Engineering Mathematics, Basic Computer Science, Strength of Material, Engineering Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Basic Electrical Technology and Basic Electronics Engineering.
  • Integrated MBA (BBA – MBA) programme will be on basic of Mathematics, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, Commercial Arithmetic and elementary knowledge in concerned area.
  • All UG programmes (except Arabic, Urdu, Islamic Theology and Islamic studies) will be comprised of concerned subject as per syllabi of classes XI & XII of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) and Equivalent.
  • Nursing Programme will comprise of Biology, Chemistry & Physics as per syllabus of JENPARH/JENPAUH, West Bengal.
  • B.A. Hons. in Arabic and Urdu comprise as per Arabic and Urdu syllabi of H.S. or equivalent examination.
  • B.A. Hons. in Islamic Theology and Islamic Studies comprise as per syllabi of Fazil according to West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education (WBBME).
  • B.Sc.(Hons.) in Statistics as per syllabus of classes XI &XII of Mathematics of H.S. of WBCHSE
    Masters programmes excluding MJMC, MCA & Master’s in Data Science & Applied Statistics will be on concerned subject.
  • MJMC will be on English, Concept of language and Literature, Fundamentals of Journalism and Mass Communication having its role as forth pillar of Indian Democracy, Sports and Cinema.
  • MCA programme will be comprised of Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Problem Solving Questions, Discrete Quantitative Analysis and Basic Mathematics.
  • Master’s in Data Science & Applied Statistics (MDSAS) programme will be comprised of Aljebra, Analysis, Probability and Statistics of UG Level.
  • For LL.M. Programme -based on LL.B. programme of recognized University. For B.Ed. Programme syllabus will be comprised of Reasoning, Teaching aptitude, General Knowledge, and Current Affairs.
