The Assam CEE 2026 examination will be held on 14 June 2026. The Assam Common Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) is a State level Engineering entrance exam organized by ASTU, also known as Assam Science and Technology University. Assam CEE exam is for admission to B.Tech courses in the Engineering Colleges of Assam. The Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) will announce the Assam Common Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) exam date, and application form soon. Its official website is astu.ac.in.
The Assam CEE 2026 exam is scheduled for June 14, 2026, conducted by Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU). Online registration opens on March 16, 2026, and closes on April 15, 2026. This state-level entrance test is the mandatory gateway for B.Tech admissions in top government engineering colleges across Assam.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam CEE
The Assam CEE eligibility criteria refers to minimum requirements that applicants must fulfill in order to appear in the exam and/or get admission through it.
- You must have passed the Class XII examination with the subjects – Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology with a minimum 50% marks (45% for SC and 40% for ST).
- An aspirant must have a domicile of Assam.
- His/ Her age must lie between 17 to 21 years.
- Eligibility criteria is also in the Assam CEE 2026 information brochure.
- Students who have minimum educational qualification, and satisfy age limit are eligible for Assam Common Entrance Examination.
- Also check eligibility criteria of colleges where admission is through Assam CEE before admission.
Age Limit Calculation (As of August 1, 2026)
Candidates must be between 17 and 21 years of age on August 1, 2026.
- Born on or after: August 1, 2005.
- Born on or before: August 1, 2009.
- Relaxation: 3 years for SC/ST candidates; 1 year for B.Sc. degree holders.
Application Process
- Step 1: Visit www.astu.ac.in and click on CEE 2026 Online Form Fill-up link
- Step2: Click on the Application Form Tab
- Step 3: Read the Instructions carefully before online form filling
- Step 4: Click on Next and fill up the form and submit
- Step 5: After Step 4, pay the examination fee Rs. 850 (Eight hundred and fifty only), through online payment facility, which is available on the CEE-2026 login portal
- Step 6: Take printout of Application Form
Application Fee Structure
The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online.

Exam Pattern
The question paper of Assam Common Entrance Examination will be as per the exam pattern.

The exam pattern is as follows:
- Mode of Exam – The exam is a Offline Test.
- Question type – The questions are Multiple Choice.
- Number of Questions – There are 120 questions in the entrance exam.
- Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 480.
- Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 3 hours.
- Language of Question Papers – The papers are in languages English and Assamese.
Marking Scheme –
- Candidates get +4 marks for correct answer.
- And negative marks is -1 for incorrect answers

You can sit for the exam, but you will not be eligible for seats in Government Engineering Colleges. Private universities may accept the score.
Yes. You receive 4 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark is deducted for every incorrect response.
Most government colleges reserve the majority of seats for CEE candidates. However, a small percentage may be available through JEE Main scores via the “All India Quota.”
It follows the AHSEC (Assam Higher Secondary Education Council) syllabus for Class 11 and 12 (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics).
You don’t need to upload the PRC during the initial registration, but you must produce the original at the time of counseling/admission in July 2026.
