AP DEECET 2026 Syllabus is published by Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education (DSE AP). AP DEECET (Andhra Pradesh Diploma in Elementary Education Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam conducted for admission into the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) programme offered by various government and private institutions in Andhra Pradesh. The syllabus for AP DEECET is as follows:

The AP DEECET 2026 examination is divided into two distinct parts: Part A (General) and Part B (Subject-Specific). The question paper consists of 100 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks, with no negative marking.

The syllabus for AP DEECET is divided into five parts:

Part I: General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude This section tests the candidate’s general knowledge and teaching aptitude. It includes questions on current affairs, general science, social studies, environmental issues and ecology, history and culture of India, and Andhra Pradesh. The teaching aptitude section covers child development, pedagogy of language development, pedagogy of mathematics, pedagogy of environmental studies, and teaching-learning process.

Part II: Mathematics This section tests the candidate’s knowledge of mathematics. It includes questions on number system and operations, fractions, decimals and percentages, geometry and mensuration, algebra and trigonometry, and data interpretation and statistical analysis.

Part III: Physical Science This section tests the candidate’s knowledge of physical science. It includes questions on units and dimensions, mechanics, heat and thermodynamics, acoustics, optics, electricity and magnetism, and modern physics.

Part IV: Biological Science This section tests the candidate’s knowledge of biological science. It includes questions on the cell, tissues and organs, nutrition and digestion, respiration and excretion, nervous system and sense organs, endocrine system, reproductive system, and health and hygiene.

Part V: Social Studies This section tests the candidate’s knowledge of social studies. It includes questions on history and culture of India, geography of India and Andhra Pradesh, civics and citizenship, and economics and development.

  4. Time Management: With 100 questions to be solved in 150 minutes, allocate your time carefully during the Computer-Based Test (CBT).
