Background, academic mission, and departmental profile
Since inception in 1993, the department has been making sustained efforts to produce students of International standard. Most of the students passing out from this department have been absorbed / engaged in regular services and / or research activities in various reputed institutions like ICGEB, NII, CDRI, IITR, DRDO and JNU. One of our students got faculty position in University of Bern, Switzerland. The department is also engaged in research activities in popular bio-chemical disciplines like Protein-chemistry and Enzymology, Environmental-biochemistry, Clinical-biochemistry.
