Course Details:

Senior Defence Management Course (SDMC) - The course is pitched at the directional and conceptual level with focus on application of management tools & techniques in operational management. Participants undertake a Forward Area Tour, a Management Education Tour of private/ public sector establishments and a Foreign Tour as part of the course curriculum. In the culminating application phase of the course they carry out “Project Studies” with a view to find solutions to the challenges being faced by the Armed Forces. Its Vision and Mission is to develop and impart the skills of management thought that leads to effective decision making, enlightened leadership and efficient resource management in a knowledge centric environment to enhance the effectiveness of the armed forces.
