Master of Veterinary Science (MVSc) is a two years postgraduate academic veterinary master degree course of study in India. Veterinary Science is a specialised medical field meant especially for animal only. Veterinary council of India (VCI), is a statutory body established under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of India is responsible for conducting the specialised medical course and monitoring veterinary institutions of the Country.

Eligibility
The candidate has to complete Bachelor Degree like Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), or any other Bachelor Degree with relevant subjects like Biology and Zoology or equivalent examination with minimum aggregate 55% marks, such candidates are eligible to take admission in Master’s degree study program.Entrance Examination
In India, it is mandatory to give an additional Pre Medical Entrance Examination. The Veterinary Council of India (VCI), conducts the All India Common Entrance Examination such as Indian Veterinary Research Institute Entrance Exam, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry Entrance Exam. This course requires study requires 2 years of the time period in India, It’s a Full Time professional degree course, but some candidates use part time, correspondence education program and also go for distance learning, study option to earn this degree.
